My Hubs
The essays here reflect my jackdaw interests and experiences. From The Men in My Life (some of whom you'll recognize) to The Day I Became the Ad (a cautionary tale), you'll find reading that is meant to be engaging, practical, and possibly even life-saving.
Among my hubs that could be put to use are Before You Assume Someone's Drunk (helping the helpless), Adopt Pioneer Living (tips for a slow economy), 9 Free, Fun, Invaluable Tools and Websites, and More is Too Much (dispelling clutter...from a packrat's viewpoint).
A psychological look at people like me (and you?) can be found in Are You a Misdiagnosed Introvert?
If making sure animals are cared for properly is important to you, there are A Billion Dead Each Year and Let Your Dog Take You for a Walk.
Health nuts and bread lovers will enjoy a recipe for Pebble-Topped Oatmeal Bread. And for those who don't have to worry about what they eat, you'll find much to love among the recipes in Bacon Bonanza. (In consideration of people like me who are now on a more restrictive diet, I've thrown in a vegetarian 'bacon' recipe for good measure.)
Are you as dedicated an Anglophile as I? You'll probably enjoy Making Murder - British Style.
My Bio
I'm an editor/writer and verbatim transcriptionist with a zest for life and learning. I was born in Portland, Oregon and have recently returned to this beautiful place, London, England is my home-from-home, a city--Johnson was correct--that I never grow tired of.
My parents were loving teachers, my paternal grandparents successful dairy farmers, and my Grandpa and Grandma Brookman, respectively, the best architect and finest cook/homemaker in the world.
Should you wish to contact me, a good place to start is getsmartediting.com and my ArtFire shop, The Byworth Collection, will shortly be open for business.
